What is the difference between

PRP vs PRF?

Both require to have your blood drawn, then placed in a centrifuge machine and then we can draw PRP or PRF depending on the speed on the centrifuge.

PRP: is a concentration of platelets from your plasma. It is rich in growth factors, stem cells, and cytokines that stimulate collagen and has regenerative properties. This can be injected OR applied topically during microNeedling. Clinical trials have shown that it may stimulate follicle hair growth, and is used after hair transplants to continue to stimulate the newly transplanted hair follicle to stimulate growth.

PRF: is a concentration of platelets from your plasma, but it contains higher concentration of platelets and leukocytes (WBC) and fibrin. The fibrin creates a spongy gel like structure that can hold growth factors for a longer period. This can be injected, Turned into a GEL (act as a volumizer) or Micro-Needled.
